Kid Rock came into our rescue program on March 8, 2013. Kid Rock came as a Stray along with 2 other horse. Kid Rock is a Beautiful, Bay/White, Paint, Gelding. Kid Rock is estimated to be 4 years of age. He is super sweet and very smart, but can be a bit aloof. Kid Rock is on the thin side, body score of a 3. He needs to gain some weight. Kid Rock was originally picked for our 3rd Annual Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer Challenge by Trainer Jamie Piatt. Unfortunately, Jamie had to pull out of the competition due to having surgery on her ankle. Jamie really wanted to finish the training, but Kid Rock was having a hard time accepting her boot. We truly appreciate all Jamie did with Kid Rock and despite her pain, she still managed to get out there and work with him on the ground. Jamie and I wanted to see Kid Rock finish his training and be available for adoption. We reached out to Kelci Goad to see if she would be available to work with Kid Rock for the remaining 20 days. We want to give Kelci Goad a big Thank you for volunteering her time to finish Kid Rock. Kid Rock will be highlighted at the competition. Competition is set for April 26, 2014 at the Lazy E Arena, Guthrie, Oklahoma. For additional information regarding our Trainer's Challenge, please visit our trainer's challenge website and follow your favorite Trainer/Rescue Horse on their journey to competition.
